These actresses were among the most beautiful women on the planet, have they changed dramatically?
An iconic French model, Bardot was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women in the world for most of the 1960’s and 70’s. Her beauty defined a generation and set the bar for fashion models today. Bardot started acting in 1952 and appeared in several comedy films and was even the topic of a controversial essay by Simone de Beauvoir. Bardot retired from the entertainment industry in 1973 and now focuses more on animal rights activism. At 82 she is still an outspoken woman and has drawn criticism in recent years for her views on immigration.
Now known as Olenna Tyrell on the popular HBO series Game of Thrones, actress Diana Rigg spent a lot of time in front of the camera. As Emma Peel in the 1960’s TV series, The Avengers, she gained popular recognition for her acting ability. Rigg has starred on Broadway and won a Tony award in 1994 for the title role in Medea. Her father was a railway engineer and Rigg spent a large part of her childhood in India where he was employed. She still speaks a little Hindi!
