Historical Photos Nearly Destroyed Forever

If you were to ask most people which class they hated the most back in high school, a good majority would say “history.” I hated history come to think of it. Learning about Columbus and the Egyptians just couldn’t hold my attention like an episode of Saved by the Bell or Baywatch. But I had no choice but to sit there and listen to the teacher drone on and on about a bunch of dead people that did stuff I really didn’t care about. Had that teacher shown me these 15 amazingly rare historical photos, I would have been much more interested.

Let’s start off with some recent history, but history none the less. Here is an image of a group of young kids back in 1980 that have gathered for the National Space Invaders Championship by Atari. If you have no idea what Atari is, think PlayStation only not nearly as technically advanced. But back in the day it was the shizzle.

This photo was taken in 1933 on the day prohibition ended. If you don’t know, prohibition was a nationwide constitutional ban on the sale, production, importation, and transportation of alcoholic beverages that remained in place from 1920 to 1933. It was a living nightmare as you can imagine and now you know why everyone looks so happy in this photo.
